Our private day trips leave from Marrakech, Fes and Casablanca, and from Tangier for travelers crossing from Spain: into the Atlas Mountains, to the coast at Essaouira, to the Ouzoud waterfalls, the blue town of Chefchaouen or the Roman ruins of Volubilis. Each one is yours alone, with a driver who collects you at your riad or hotel and brings you back the same day.
Day trips start from about $40 per person for groups of up to 6. You choose the date and the pickup time, and we shape the day around what you want to see. Lunches, entrance fees and local guides are paid only if you want them.

How to Choose a Day Trip
Start with where you are staying, then decide how long you want to spend in the car.
From Marrakech
The most choice. The Atlas Mountains and the Ourika Valley are about 90 minutes away and make a relaxed day; the Agafay desert fits into an afternoon. Essaouira, the Ouzoud Falls and Casablanca are about 3 hours each way, and Ait Ben Haddou about 4. See all our day trips from Marrakech.
From Fes

Take the ferry from Tarifa and spend the day in Tangier, back in Spain the same evening.
How long is a day trip?
From about 6 hours for Agafay to about 13 for Chefchaouen from Fes. As a rule, when the drive is more than 3 hours each way, a night away is worth considering.
What Every Day Trip Includes
The car and the driver are yours for the day, and so is the plan.
- Included: a private air-conditioned vehicle, an English-speaking driver/guide, pickup and drop-off at your riad or hotel, fuel, tolls and parking.
- Not included: lunch and drinks, entrance fees, local guides, and activities such as camel rides or boat trips. We add them to your quote only if you want them.
How booking works
Send us your date, where you are staying and how many of you there are. We reply within 24 hours with a plan and an exact price. Pickup times move with the season: earlier in summer to avoid the heat, and planned around the daylight in winter.
Your driver
Your driver speaks English and knows the roads, the stops and the best time to arrive at each place. For the medinas of Fes and Marrakech, and at sites like Volubilis, a licensed local guide adds a lot; we arrange one on request.
Longer than a day?

Can we book a day trip at short notice?
Often, yes. Message us on WhatsApp with your date and pickup address and we confirm as soon as we know a driver is free.
Can a day trip end somewhere else?
Yes. Many trips can be one way, for example Marrakech to Essaouira, or Casablanca to Marrakech with sightseeing on the way. Tell us where you want to finish.
Are day trips suitable for children?
Yes. Choose the shorter trips, such as the Atlas Mountains, the Ourika Valley or Agafay, and tell us the children’s ages so we bring the right child seats.
