Rabat or Marrakech?
Rabat: the easy day

Casablanca and Rabat in one day
If you arrive early, start with a guided visit of the Hassan II Mosque in the morning, then drive to Rabat for the afternoon. It makes a full but comfortable day.

Planning Around Flights and Ships
Mohammed V Airport is about 30 km from the city center, and the cruise port is in the center itself, so a day trip can start and end at either.
Between flights

Send us your arrival and all-aboard times. Rabat fits comfortably into a day in port; Marrakech is usually too far unless your ship stays overnight.
Getting around the city
Casablanca is spread out and its traffic is heavy at rush hour, so a driver saves time even within the city: the mosque, the Corniche and the Habous quarter are several kilometers apart.
What to wear
For the Hassan II Mosque and the royal mausoleum in Rabat, cover shoulders and knees. Inside the mosque you take your shoes off and carry them in a bag.

It is about 4 hours or more each way, so we do not recommend it as a day trip. Stay a night, or take our 7-day itinerary, which starts in Casablanca and stops there.
